Our Ministries

Sunday Services

9:30 am at Gungahlin

This service is designed to meet the needs of families, particularly those with children of primary school age or younger. A Sunday School programme runs during the service and there is also crèche program for young children.

The music we sing at 9:30am consists of a blend of contemporary songs and old favourite hymns.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays of each month.

After the service the congregation enjoy tea, coffee and conversation together.

Children’s church is provided for pre-school to primary school aged children, and crèche for 0 – 3 year olds runs during the service. Music is a blend of hymns and contemporary songs.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

After the service the congregation enjoy tea, coffee and conversation together.

6:00 pm at Gungahlin

Evening church is a service for the young and those “young at heart”. The congregation includes many young workers, university and high school students. This vibrant style of service features songs in contemporary music styles.

The service is preceded by a sausage sizzle from 5pm.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of every month.

We continue to meet together and fellowship over supper after the service.

GROWTH GROUPS

Sundays are only a small part of the life of a church. Through the week groups meet to spend time together, read the Bible and pray. We have daytime groups and evening groups.

Whatever your age or stage of life there is likely a group for you.

We Support:

The Gungahlin Anglican Church and Burgmann Anglican School are blessed to share life together on the two school campuses at Valley and Forde. More important than our geography though, is the story we share of a vision for a school founded in faith more than two decades ago.

One of the 23 Dioceses of the Anglican Church of Australia. Our diocese is a partnership of churches in 60 ministry units, numerous associated agencies and schools, covering most of south-east New South Wales, the eastern Riverina and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

As the social justice arm of the Anglican Church, Anglicare’s mission is to tackle disadvantage, helping children and families break free from the cycle of poverty.

CMS

CMS (the Church Missionary Society of Australia) NSW & ACT is a fellowship of Christian people and churches committed to global mission. We work with churches to set apart long-term workers who cross cultures to share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Worldwide, 356 million children live in extreme poverty. Poverty robs children of their basic rights to learn, play and grow. In its ugliest form, poverty can lead to exploitation, child labour and even death. It’s unacceptable.

That’s why our Child Sponsorship Program exists. Because more powerful than poverty is the hope of Jesus, the care of a local church and the encouragement of you: a loving sponsor.

Focus Military Ministry is a group of Christians in the Australian military who are committed to making Christ known in the ADF.

The heart of Navigators “is to provide discipleship that leads people forward in their walk with Jesus and impacts generations to come.”

Gungahlin Anglican Church has a particularly close relationship with the Navigators Military Communities at ADFA and RMC.

Our desire is to see young people journey into adulthood with a deep sense of value and purpose.

YoungLife mentors come alongside young people to journey a life full of significance, and are committed to caring and role-modelling a positive lifestyle to Australia’s upcoming generation.

Whether teenagers are seeking guidance or acceptance, YoungLife mentors offer a listening ear, an understanding heart, eyes that see potential and a powerful message of hope.
