Frequently asked questions
Wondering what it’s going to be like attending Gungahlin Anglican Church the first time?
Let us try to answer some of your questions.
Sunday Services
What do I wear?
Come wearing clothes you feel comfortable in.
Who looks after the kids during Children’s Church?
We have a range of volunteers, most of them parents, who are all screened for WWVP and trained for Safe Ministries.
Do I have to sing?
We enjoy our music at GAC but you don’t have to sing if you don’t want to. All the words will be displayed on the big screen so you can sing along, or just take the words in and think about what they mean.
I hate being the centre of attention.
Can I come in quietly?
We love visitors and meeting new people. You can expect to be greeted as you arrive and people may come up to you for a chat. We usually have morning tea for this purpose.
How long is the service?
Our morning services go for about 75 minutes. Our evening service goes for one hour.
Will you ask me for money?
Please be our guest, we do not need you to give. Our regular members give money to support the work of the church. Most give electronically via direct deposit or using the EFTPOS terminal near the entrance. You can find a more detailed discussion on giving HERE.
